Kaaba

The Kaaba is the metaphorical house of God for all Muslims and is the Qibla (direction) of where Muslims around the world face, to pray all prayers.

Kaaba translates to “The Cube” in Arabic which essentially describes its structure. Muslims do not worship the Kaaba but it metaphorically represents the house of God and unifies the muslim community (Ummah) globally as they all pray in the same direction.

Where is it?

The Kaaba is located inside the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Who built it?

The Prophet Ibrahim ﷺ built the first Kaaba.
